The LabEx

The Cluster of Excellence Territorial and Spatial Dynamics, known in French as LabEx DynamiTe, includes top research units in the fields of geography, history, archeology, sociology, anthropology and economics. The LabEx intends to capitalize on the contributions of these different specialist fields by articulating them around a joint problematic, that of territoriality.

A range of events are organized throughout the year to open the LabEx to the economic world, planning agencies and regional actors.

What is a LabEx ?

LabEx (for “Laboratoires d’Excellence”, that is to say, Cluster of Excellence), are research projects supported by the the French National Research Agency under the “Investments for the Future” program. The goal is to enhance the international visibility of the best French laboratories in various disciplines. To do so, laboratories already having international exposure are given significant funds, allowing them to compete with their foreign counterparts, to attract internationally recognized researchers and teachers and to develop an integrated policy of research, training, promotion of projects and knowledge sharing.
